Volunteer Drop-In

Every Wednesday, 2-4pm

In January 2018,  all drop-ins will take place at BOOST Burnt Oak Library, 99 Warling Avenue, Burnt Oak, Edgware, HA8 0UB.

We run a drop-in session every week for volunteers and people thinking about volunteering.

  • Meet one of our friendly volunteering "matchmakers"
  • Get support finding a volunteer role that suits you
  • Find out how to apply for a role

The drop-in is entirely free and there's no need to book. We operate on a first-come, first-serve basis and we try to see as many people as we can. ‚Äč

As well as Burnt Oak Library we are currently looking for a new space to hold our drop-ins to start in February, so please come back and check this page then!

P.S. Please get in touch if you have a suggestion for session venues!

For details of future dates, please contact us on 0300 365 9960.

Introduction to Volunteering Training

This Introduction to Volunteering workshop gives volunteers a chance to understand what to expect, benefits of volunteering and to share your excitements and concerns. It is accessible for people of all needs and abilities – everyone is welcome.

We will cover topics such as:
•    What is volunteering?
•    How might I benefit from volunteering?
•    Volunteering as a way to achieve your goals
•    What to expect when you volunteer

Who is the course suitable for?
Anyone who is interested in volunteering – maybe you haven’t volunteered before and would like to know what to expect, or maybe you aren’t sure how it might affect your benefits. No matter what your situation, if you’re interested in volunteering then this workshop is for you!

We can deliver this training at your organisation - for example at your college, university, job centre or community group. Just get in touch  for  more details.
