UK Youth Parliament

Are you passionate about issues? Are you seeking to represent your peers through democratic processes? Are you willing to embark upon a programme of self-development? Then the UK Youth Parliament could be for you!

The UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) was established in 1999 and is run by young people for young people, giving them the opportunity to share their opinions on issues ranging from the cost of university education to job opportunities to mental health. Its views and recommendations are listened to by local and national Government and providers of services and other agencies who have an interest in the views and needs of young people.

New Volunteer Service for Barnet

A brand new volunteering service will support people to find volunteering across Barnet from 1st January 2015. Groundwork London will provide this service on behalf of the London Borough of Barnet. The service is called Volunteering Barnet, and builds on the experience and expertise that Groundwork London has developed over the past 5 years. Groundwork London provides other volunteer services, and is committed to working with individuals and organisations to ensure that they receive the necessary support with regards to recruitment and management of volunteers.
