Home from Hospital Volunteer – Age UK Barnet
Isolation and loneliness are difficulties which many older people face, and coming home after spending time in hospital can be particularly difficult. The Home from Hospital scheme specifically supports people aged 65+ who have just left hospital. This role only takes a couple of hours each week, but the impact you have will be immeasurable.

Saturday Support Volunteer – Langdon
Langdon provide practical support for adults with learning disabilities. They are looking for a volunteer who could support a Langdon member to participate in activities, particularly on Saturdays. This could be a simple activity for an hour or so in Edgware. If you are available on weekends and interested in helping somebody get involved in local activities, this role could suit you.

Hearing Aid Technician – Jewish Deaf Association
Most residents of care homes are unable to get to their local audiologist whenever there is a problem with their hearing aid, and that could mean months before it gets fixed. It means no chatting with care staff or other residents, no taking part in activities, no fun or life at all. By visiting care homes on a pre-arranged basis, you’ll ensure that hearing aids are cleaned and batteries are changed and smiles are created. Full training is provided.
