Volunteering Services Team
We are here for you!
Our friendly team brings together a wealth of experience in volunteering and community organisations. We can support you start volunteering in Barnet, become volunteer ready, or find the volunteers your organisation needs.
Nicky loves getting to know new organisations and being inspired by the massive range of work they do to make the world a better place! Having worked at Groundwork London for several years, she has developed community gardens in consultation with local communities, worked on community wellbeing projects and engaged diverse communities with arts projects and oral history.
Nicky loves camping, photography, exploring Britain, the coast, cafes and theatre.
Carolina supports Volunteering Barnet with administration and Volunteer Connect.
Before becoming Volunteer Services Administrator, Carolina volunteered in the office for over a year and a half. During this time she developed a keen interest in Best Practice in Volunteer Management, whilst reviewing and developing our Resource Bank. Carolina can help you register to Volunteer Connect and find appropriate volunteers and volunteering roles.
When she isn't championing volunteering, Carolina's interests include reading, travelling, discovering London and (maybe!) a bit of baking.
Sarah is the Training and Development Coordinator for Barnet. She is the main point of contact for organisations who involve volunteers.
Sarah has experience volunteering and working for voluntary and community organisations in the UK, as well as Spain and Nicaragua. In her spare time, Sarah likes to do flamenco dancing.
Sarah can help you achieve Best Practice in Volunteer Management and find volunteers.
Information & Communications Officer
Laura supports Volunteering Barnet with information and communications, including our social media pages and newsletters.
Emily is the Volunteer Brokerage Officer for Volunteering Barnet. She is the main point of contact for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer.
Emily has volunteered since she was young at home and abroad which inspired her to work for the volunteer services team. Emily also manages the volunteers in the office and is more than happy to chat about her own experiences of volunteering and managing volunteers when she is out and about in the borough.
In her spare time Emily enjoys exploring the museums in London, seeing live music and telling cheesy jokes!
